Using SMART Maturity Assessment company is able to qualitatively assess of the maturity level of implemented lean principles and practices in product development and innovation.

The assessment is carried out across 4 product development perspectives which include:

Processes and its associated practices that support the development of new solutions by maximizing customer and eliminating waste

Tools and Methods which enable effective product development process by assisting teams to carry out their tasks in the most productive way

Knowledge generated and stored during the product development process enables future developments to become faster and more efficient

People and Skills are the essential part of any lean initiative, therefore skilled, energised and aligned product development teams that execute lean thinking in their daily activities are the core to company’s success

SMART Maturity Assessment enables you to assess the current and desired future states of leanness, the relevance of each lean product development practice, and anonymously benchmark your lean maturity levels against the LAA’s database of lean product development practices from companies across the world.

Lean Analytics Association (LAA) is a non-profit organization that helps companies to transform by enabling lean thinking in their innovation processes. LAA was founded in Switzerland in 2012 as a spin- off from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
